If you need to figure out how to access the necessary Intercom credentials, head here for a detailed walk through.
Let's first select the source from the list of taps in hotglue for this flow.
Now search for Intercom and click on the resulting card to select it as a Source.
Now that we have selected Intercom as a source, we are going to put in the OAuth Client ID and the OAuth Client Secret. If you don't know where to get these credentials, you can learn where to find them here.
Once you've entered your OAuth credentials, click the “Save & Connect” button.
A window will pop-up asking you to login to Intercom and authorize access with your credentials. Go ahead and click on “Authorize access” button.
Window with success message will pop up showing Intercom is successfully connected to hotglue. And that is all you need to do to link Intercom!
You now have added Intercom as a data source for your flow. Next, you need to configure the mapping for your Intercom data.
Click on the card to get started.
Click on “Customize field map”.
Now you can select specific Tables that you may want to map for your users. To do this, you simply select the gear icon on the right of any of the Tables.
You can now select specific fields identified in each Table to map in the Field Editor. Once you have selected which fields you want, you click confirm.
Once you are done mapping any of the fields you want, you click save, and you have finished configuring your mappings.
To get your OAuth credentials for Intercom, you are first going to need to log in to Intercom.
Now that you are on the Intercom home page, go to the bottom left of the page and click on your account icon.
Select the Settings tab.
Select the Apps & Integrations option in the left-sided nav bar.
Under Apps & Intergations, click on Developer Hub.
Click on New app.
Input App name and other fields and Click Create app button. Remember, this should be the name of your app, not hotglue.
Navigate to “Authentication” Menu. Click on “Edit” button.
Check off “Use OAuth” under the OAuth tab, and then add “https://hotglue.xyz/callback” as the Redirect URL. Save the changes by clicking the Save button in the top right hand corner.
Then head to the Basic Information option via the left-sided nav bar. You should now be able to copy the Intercom OAuth Client ID and Client Secret into hotglue.
You have now gotten your credentials for Intercom!
